How We Work?
Although there are organizations in
the Winston-Salem area that provide employment and support services to re-entry
associates, we all agree that every agency is needed due to the numbers of
returning associates. Faith Seeds Community Re-entry Coalition provides a
process to ensure that services being offered are coordinated to meet the needs
of re-entry associates and are accessible to all that need help. This
process also educates the community on the issues of re-entry. Faith
Seeds is evident that successful re-entry, or restoration, is predicated on a
collective community response or collective community action. The
Re-entry Network (RNC) is a collaborative, community-based service coordination
and advocacy center re-entry associates and their families. The center
serves as a location for services coordination and advocacy to help male and
female re-entry associates who are 18 and older and their families to navigate
the sometimes intimidating maze of accessing essential services and resources
such as: housing, employment, education and training.
Faith Seeds works with re-entry
associates to develop strength-based plans, centered on positive and successful
restoration of self, family and community. This strength-based model
allows for the individual to direct his/her progress and serves as an
opportunity for a deeper more unique relationship than that of traditional
needs-based/task oriented case management services.
In an effort to provide the most effective service to
all individuals who desire restoration of self, family and community, we
receive and accept referrals from multiple sources including: project re-entry,
self referrals, parole and probation officers, referrals from Eureka
Transitional home and other transitional homes. Faith Seeds functions as
a coordinated network of services delivered through collaboration with existing
public and private community, faith-based, human services organizations.
